Terms and Conditions for Small Job Bookings

Booking Process

  • Customers are required to select a preferred date and time slot, provide their details, and describe the job requirements in the booking form.
  • A minimum charge of £95 + VAT is payable at the time of booking to confirm the appointment.

Scope of Works

  • The minimum charge covers jobs that can reasonably be completed within one hour, including minor adjustments or repairs.
  • Following a confirmed booking email, Electrics Fixed will review the job details provided to ensure it meets the small job criteria. If the job does not qualify as a small job, the customer will be informed, and alternative arrangements will be discussed.
  • The electrician reserves the right to assess the job upon arrival and determine whether it meets the criteria of a “small job.”

Additional Costs

  • If the job exceeds the one-hour time frame or requires additional work, the customer will be informed before proceeding.
  • Any materials or parts used during the job will be charged in addition to the minimum fee.
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances that impact the complexity or duration of the job, these will be discussed with the customer, and additional charges may apply.

Unforeseen Circumstances

  • While every effort is made to complete the job within the allocated time, unforeseen issues may arise that extend the duration or scope of the work.
  • The electrician’s interpretation of a “small job” is final, and any additional work will only proceed with the customer’s approval.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours before the appointment time.
  • Refunds for cancellations will exclude any administrative fees incurred.
  • For cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, the minimum charge is non-refundable.

Access Requirements

  • Customers must ensure that the electrician has clear and safe access to the work area.
  • If access is restricted or delays are caused, additional charges may apply.

Payment

  • The minimum charge must be paid in full at the time of booking.
  • Any additional costs incurred during the job must be settled on the day of completion unless agreed otherwise.

Limitations of Liability

  • Electrics Fixed will not be held responsible for any pre-existing issues or conditions that impact the completion of the job.
  • Liability for any damages or delays caused by external factors (e.g., access restrictions, customer-supplied materials) will not be accepted.

Guarantee

  • All work carried out will be guaranteed for 12 months against workmanship defects.
  • Any issues arising from the supplied materials are the responsibility of the material’s manufacturer.

General

  • These terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.
  • By submitting the booking form and making payment, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions.
